Welcome to The Village

The La Jolla Village often referred to as “The Village” is the downtown coastal area and birthplace of La Jolla, where tourists flock from around the world. This neighborhood is both business and residential. La Jolla Village is a world-renowned place where you will find fine dining, art galleries, shops, cafes, site-seeing, schools, jewelry stores, schools, La Jolla Women’s Club, cafes, high-end boutiques, a Sunday farmer’s market, movie theatres, The La Valencia Hotel, seals lounging in the sun, and more! The Village was one of the first residential areas developed in the early 1900s when La Jolla was first conceived. Torrey Pines Road was only two lanes that led to the ocean and Virginia Way and Park Row were the streets where residences were first built. Homes in The Village come at all shapes, sizes, and prices. Homes that were once little beach cottages have now been rebuilt into grand homes in Cape Code, Spanish, Mediterranean, and Tudor style, although these beach cottage-type homes still exist!

A majority of the residences in the Village are condos, from cozy to luxury oceanfront. Homes in the Village are more expensive than comparables in other La Jolla Neighborhoods because of their location. The Village is a delightful place to live, and envy- worth to the world. Residents who live in The Village have everything they need-close proximity to the 5 freeways, beautiful beaches, and an endless amount of activities to enjoy! Children who live here will attend La Jolla Elementary, Muirlands Middle school, and La Jolla High School, and can walk or bike to school. There are also many great private schools in La Jolla. Private school options for the elementary school in La Jolla are All Hallows Academy, Children’s School, Evans School, Gillespie School, La Jolla Country Day, and Stella Maris.
