Encinitas is located on top of rugged coastal terrain, creating scenic drives almost everywhere and is considered to be broken up between 5 areas. Separating Old Encinitas and New Encinitas is a low lying coastal ridge. During the winter, the average temperature is at a comfortable 65 degrees. There are regular events held in all areas throughout the year, the most popular being the Annual April Street Fair, The Wave Creek Woodie Meet, and the Annual Oktoberfest.

Encinitas is comprised of 5 areas, Old Encinitas, New Encinitas, Olivenhain, Leucadia and Cardiff by the Sea. All of the areas share a community mindset, but Old Encinitas is the heart. Old Encinitas has a certain charm to it that makes you want to enjoy the day at the beach. Only a moments’ walk from the main streets to Moonlight Beach, which is a great family beach, awesome surf, and host to events and concerts. Adjacent from Moonlight Beach is The Historic La Paloma Theater. Constructed back in 1927-1928 and recently renovated. The La Paloma Theater is great place to have a romantic night…old fashioned and intimate. Walking the streets you’ll find funky boutiques and family owned diners and restaurants.

Annual events strengthening the community and new homes being built, Encinitas becoming the destination for families and singles. With local dives and hidden gems scattered along the coast, there’s always something to explore.
