Julian

The cozy mountain town of Julian is a great place to set up “shop” or prime getaway destination. Julian is best known for its autumnal apple harvest, their colorful annual festival of “Apple Days” and it signature pies. Just 35 mile northeast of downtown San Diego, Julian oozes with country charm. Any local, or people who commonly visit this charming little town, they will all tell you, it is the best place to get some hot cocoa and a piece of delicious famous Julian apple pie! There simply isn’t anything like it!

Spring brings lilac and daffodil blooms and chances to camp and hike. Summer is prime time to explore and shop without crowds. The fall season brings apple lovers and leaf peepers. Winter lures all to experience the simplicity of a country holiday and sometimes even snow! San Diegans don’t usually get to see the seasons change as drastically as the other side of the US. But when given the opportunity, Julian is most San Diegans escape to witness the changing of the trees and maybe even to get into a snowball fight or two!

Nestled on a mountain slope on the entrance to the Cleveland National Forest where thousands of trees shade small ranches and homes. The area provides residents with plentiful land for equestrian pursuits as well as nature exploration, hiking, and biking. Lastly, the U. S. Weather Bureau rates the climate in the picturesque village as “99 percent perfect,” which only adds to the overall appeal. The Julian motto is “four seasons of beauty and fun”. Julian is growing, as more and more people fall in love with it, but it remains the quaint little town that people have come to know and love.
